Parc Andreas is an exclusive, gated residential neighborhood in the Indian Canyons area of South Palm Springs, California. There are 80 single-family homes as well as two tennis courts and nature roads for walking or biking.
Homes at Par Andreas are situated on lots starting at a fourth of an acre. The houses exceed 3,000 square feet and offer a variety of architectural designs. Built from the 1980’s up to the mid 2000’s, this community is close to shopping, dining, and entertainment as well as everyday services.
Amenities in these luxury homes include guest rooms, dens, home gyms, fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, and open floor plans. The spacious master suites are the perfect retreat with custom designed baths. And the back yards have everything an entertainer needs with built-in barbecues & shimmering pools. Some estates have private tennis courts and there is room for RV parking. The schools in this area include Cahuilla Elementary, Raymond Cree Middle School, and Palms Springs High School.
Just a few miles away, the City of Palm Springs offers many activities and venues. The main shopping district is along Palm Canyon Drive that has eclectic boutiques and jazzy restaurants. There are also many outdoor activities like horseback riding, hiking, biking, tennis, golf, and swimming. Palm Springs is an attractive tourist destination with more than a million visitors each year.
This city has been the home of the Cahuilla people for hundreds of years. The Agua Caliente Reservation covers 32,000 acres including 6,700 acres that are within the city limits. This band is Palm Springs’ largest landowner. In the 1900’s the city became a popular vacation spot because of tourists who came for the dry heat. Gorge Wharton James wrote about this area in “The Wonders of the Colorado Desert” and talked about Palm Springs as an attractive and charming city.
